Merry Mileage

Methodology: This study surveyed 3,004 U.S. shoppers to determine how far people in each state would be willing to drive to do their Christmas shopping on their state’s most popular Main Street for festive retail experiences. The sample was structured to ensure balanced representation across age, gender, and geographic region, reflecting the diversity of holiday shoppers nationwide. To maintain statistical accuracy, the research followed a two-step process: stratified sampling was first used to capture demographic variation, followed by post-stratification weighting to align responses with national population benchmarks sourced from internal data. Conducted in December 2025, the study reveals the lengths Americans are willing to go to shop on the Main Streets they feel deliver the best Christmas atmosphere.
